Footnote: Klaus Häberlen (April 14, 1916 - April 7, 2002) was a German Luftwaffe Ace. He was the recipient of Knight’s Cross of the iron Cross (June 20, 1943), the Front Flyer’s Clasp in Gold (April 21, 1943), the German Cross in Gold (March 19, 1943), the Krim Campaign Shield (March 15, 1943), the Eastern Campaign Medal (September 12, 1942), the Luftwaffe Honour Goblet (December 31, 1941), the Black Wound Badge (November 26, 1941), the Iron Cross 2nd Class (October 31, 1940), and the Iron Cross 1st Class (December 14, 1941).
