Germany, Third Reich. A Rare Photo Signed by Ernst Röhm, Two Months Prior to his Assassination

This is an extremely rare and desirable private period photo of Ernst Röhm inspecting a line of SS troops in 1934. Ernst Röhm can be seen in the forefront riding on a horse in his brown uniform. It is signed in faded blue ink on the obverse; textbook signature. On the reverse, dated “13.5.34 - Inspection by Stabsschef Röhm”. The photograph measures 112 mm x 87 mm; in extremely fine condition with remnants of previous album mounting on the reverse.
