Germany. A Collection of Nine Customs Officials Photographs, c.1938
        Measuring between 85x62mm and 131x183mm, near very fine to near mint condition. Eight photos are period pictures, just one is a post war reproduction by the French army. It shows an German army Lieutenant General and a Zollministerialrat on a boat. Out of the other eight pictures the most notable include: an official press photo showing a family from the Sudetenland having fled to Saxony and a Zollassistent checking their papers, dated to September 17, 1938; the portrait of a Zollsekretär wearing an Iron Cross (1939) 2nd Class ribbon; a picture postcard of a Zollbetriebsassistent, “in remembrance of your Seppel”, dated to 1943; another Zollbetriebsassistent wearing an Iron Cross (1914) 2nd Class ribbon, posing with his wife.
