Germany. A Group of German Police Photographs (SS Police Regiment Bozen)
Measuring between 45x63mm and 165x243mm, near extremely fine to extremely fine. All photos except one are wartime or pre war pictures, however, the largest one is a post war reprint of an original pre war press photo. It shows the parade on occasion of the German police’s standard being brought to Berlin after having been anointed by the Führer with the original “Blutfahne” (blood flag). Two more photos show policemen on parade, the larger one of the two an official press photo by correspondent Walter Gircke. The small one is a cigarette collection picture depicting a parade in Berlin on April 1, 1933. Three pictures show policemen next to their police cars, one is in the process of being dug out of the snow. One shows a policeman wearing a War Merit Cross 2nd Class. The grouping is completed by two studio portraits of men of the SS Police Regiment Bozen (South Tyrol).
