Germany. A Wartime Large Photo of Two Heer Soldiers Fighting Russian Snipers
Measuring 166x218mm, very fine condition with light scratching and creasing, and having been cut askew at the top. The picture shows two German soldiers in action during the Second War. A handwritten note on the reverse tells the story: the soldiers have surrounded a Russian house containing snipers, trying to evaluate the situation by carefully taking a look through a window. The reverse also shows several stamps of ownership, one by Atlantic News Photo Service and Publishing Company in Berlin, one by Fotobureau Holland in Amsterdam, and two by Archive 1940–1945 Joh. Schaede, also Amsterdam.
