Germany. Two Wartime Photos of Female Army Signals Auxiliaries
Measuring 64x94mm (near mint, light warping) and 58x77mm (extremely fine, light creasing). The slightly bigger picture shows a young woman wearing the uniform of a female Heer signals auxiliary, the so-called “Blitzmädchen”. Note the membership brooch on the tie. The note on the reverse reads: “as an eternal keepsake”, and below she signed with her first name: Liesel. The second picture shows Liesel with a colleague, both in uniform. On the reverse she wrote: “the two rascals, Ursel and Liesel”.
