Germany, Heer. A Wartime Signed Photo of Generaloberst Eduard Dietl, with Letter and Insignia

A rare wartime signed photo of Generaloberst Eduard Dietl, depicted in uniform and with the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves clearly visible, overlaid by Dietl’s handwritten signature in black ink, the reverse in postcard format and with the mark of a Magdeburg-based studio, measuring 105 mm (w) x 150 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; accompanied by a Feldpost letter dated 22 November 1942, addressed to a recipient named Fritz and indicating that the signed photo has been provided after the former requested one from Dietl, measuring 210 mm (w) x 150 mm (h), with a central folding crease visible, in extremely fine condition; also accompanied by a Gebirgsjäger EM/NCO’s sleeve insignia, constructed of field-grey wool and bearing a machine-embroidered multi-coloured edelweiss within a knotted wreath, unmarked, measuring 57 mm (w) x 68 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
