Correspondence Letter from Celluloid-Verkaufs-Gesellschaft M.B.H. (Celluloid Sales Company Inc.) to Firma Dr. ing. h.c. F. Porsche K.G. (Porsche AG), 18 pages, 21 x 29.7 cm, unilateral Date of item: Oct. 25th, 1938; Condition: Overall good condition, first pages have light to intermediate marks/yellowing which don’t impair legibility; fine. Footnote: A correspondence letter from the Celluloid-Verkaufs-Gesellschaft M.B.H. (Celluloid Sales Company Inc.) to Firma Dr. ing. H.c. F. Porsche K.G. (Porsche AG) about synthetic car windows made from “Astralon”. This material, trademarked and approval pending, is referred to as a “pure German material” meaning it doesn’t need any components that have to be imported. Specifics and details (chemical, physical, electrical, optical, and mechanical) for “Astralon” are given in an attempt to convince Porsche to use this new material for their cars. This is an answering letter to Porsche AG, that had previously indicated that the material lacks official approval.
