SS-Staffelmann Johann Gruber; Award Document for Commemorative Medal 1. October 1938 (Staffelmann), dated 22.5.1939, folded; Award Document for Clasp to Commemorative Medal 1. October 1938 (SS-Mann), dated 13. June 1940, folded; Award Document for Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939 (Staffel-Mann), dated 20.8 1940, signed in ink by SS- Gruppenführer, with nice SS stamp in left corner; Identity Confirmation document (Uverenje), issued by Yugoslav Military Prisoner’s Camp # 48, issued in Bor (Serbia), with Gruber’s picture; Yugoslav Military Discharge ID, issued to Gruber on 1. January 1949 (torn, in poor condition, but a very rare document); Austrian Award Document for War Merit Cross, issued in 1984. Footnote: Gruber was born in 1920 in Austria; this grouping comes with a hand written note listingGruber’s military units/service; Gruber was serving in few elite SS units (Der Der Führer, Germania, Prinz Eugen), on western and eastern fronts (Poland, Holland, Belgium, France, Russia), and eventually Yugoslavia, where he was captured and spend four years in POW camp. An unusual grouping to an SS soldier.
