Condition: very good, some signs of aging. Three award certificates to Georg Mielke, who served in the Luftwaffe. The first award is dated to March 20, 1941. Mielke holds the rank of Gefreiter (Lance Corporal) and is awarded the Parachutist Badge. The document carries a signature of a Generalleutnant in blue ink, but it is unknown whose signature it is. The second award is dated to September 28, 1944, command post (Gef.St. = Gefechtsstand). Mielke holds the rank of Obergefreiter (Senior Lance Corporal) and serves in the 1st Battalion of the Fallschirm-Jäger-Regiment 13 (Parachute Regiment). It was part of the 5th Parachute Division that fought in France. Mielke is awarded the Ground Assault Badge of the Luftwaffe. It is signed in blue ink by Generalleutnant and Division Commander Gustav Wilke. The third award is dated to October 21, 1944, command post. Mielke is awarded the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords. It is signed once more by Gustav Wilke (1898–1977) was a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross.
