Two Large Award Documents to Alfred Hausse; Reconnaissance Detachment
Two certificates for Gefreiter (Lance Corporal) Alfred Hausse. The first one is for a Shooting Badge 1st Class, measuring 258x366mm, very fine condition with uneven, scuffed edges, creases, and age spots. The second one is a memento certificate for his term of service in the Wehrmacht, measuring 208x296mm, better than very fine condition with some damage on the left side. The first certificate states that in 1937 he received the Single Shooting Badge 1st Class for Rifle. It is dated to Sondershausen (Thuringia, central Germany) on December 20, 1937, and signed in black ink by a Major and Hausse’s Company Chief, the name is indecipherable. The second certificate serves as a memento for Hausse’s term of service in the 1st Company of the Reconnaissance Detachment 4 from October 1, 1936 to October 26, 1938. At the top it says: Obedience is the foundation of the Wehrmacht. It is signed in blue ink by a Captain and Hausse’s Company Chief, the name could be Spietl or similar. Hausse was born on May 31, 1914 in Hohenleina (Saxony).
