Germany. An Army Service Record & Health Book to Adolf Gerlach
Army Service Record (Wehrstammbuch) measuring 152x213mm, fine condition with some scuffing and fraying of the cover, some damage to the spine, and the body of the book having come loose. Health Book (Gesundheitsbuch), measuring 143x207mm, near extremely fine condition with light warping and minimal scuffing. The owner is Adolf Gerlach, born on January 8 or 10, 1918 in Vienna (the documents disagree on the date). Except for the results of the first mustering there are almost no entries. Gerlach’s vision of his right eye is rather poor (2/30) while his he can see well enough with his left eye (6/7). However, he was deemed fit for service on June 14, 1940. There is a small supplement section that is difficult to read, but it looks like Gerlach was deemed unworthy for service (wehrunwürdig) on June 12, 1941. There is no information as to why that is. Except for the cover the Health Book is completely unused. However, a filled out Health Sheet (Gesundheitsblatt) has been added to it.
