Constructed of 14 karat Gold, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a leftward-facing profile of Prince Wilhelm, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of “BENE MERENTI”, within an oak leaf wreath, with crossed swords through the centre, unmarked, measuring 34.94 mm (w) x 37.34 mm (h), weighing 20.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), a rare museum exhibition example in near extremely fine condition.
