(Erinnerungsmedaillen). A pair of Imperial commemorative medallions, including an 1888 Year of the Three Emperors medallion, constructed of silver, the obverse with raised leftward-facing profiles of Wilhelm I, Friedrich III, and Wilhelm II, circumscribed by names and laurel oak branches, the reverse with a Hohenzollern-style eagle circumscribed by inscription “ZUR ERINNERUNG AN DAS DREI KAISERJAHR 1888” (“IN COMMEMORATION OF THE YEAR OF THE THREE EMPERORS 1888”), unmarked, measuring 34.35 mm in diameter, weighing 17.3 grams, in better than very fine condition, and; an 1898 medallion commemoration the visit of Wilhelm II and Augusta Victoria to the Holy Land, constructed of silver, the obverse with rightward-facing profiles of the aforementioned circumscribed by an inscription of “GEDENKTHALER ZUR PALÄSTINAFAHRT DES DEUTSCHEN KAISERPAARES” (“COMMEMORATIVE COIN OF THE PALESTINE TRIP OF THE IMPERIAL COUPLE”), the reverse with a list of historical pilgrimages of the Hohenzollern dynasty, unmarked, measuring 34.93 mm in diameter, weighing 14.9 grams, in better than very fine condition.
