What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

A Bavarian Officer's Brocade Belt & Buckle

A Bavarian Officer's Brocade Belt & Buckle - Belt is fabricated from a silver-aluminum thatched patterned weave, with two rows of Bavarian blue brocade interwoven into the belt, supported by a navy blue wool backer, 43 mm wide x 1,140 mm long, featuring a two-piece silvered brass Officer's buckle on the right end, illustrating a raised full oakleaf wreath encompassing a Bavarian crown in its centre, a clip on the reverse of the buckle for attachment to the aluminum loop on the opposite end of the belt, a silvered brass tube and prongs attached to the loop, allowing the belt to be fed through the 33 mm x 250 mm smooth leather butterscotch tab stitched to the reverse, the tab with nine rows of two holes each, allowing for an adjustable fit at the waist, fitting a 30" to 37" waist, evidence of moth invasion on the navy blue wool reverse, light gilt wear on the brass parts, exhibiting light wear overall, quality stitching and workmanship, near extremely fine. Footnote: Officers ranks were responsible for purchasing their own uniforms including belts. As a result, they were allotted a clothing allowance through the army’s Kleiderkasse (Clothing Account) system. The Officers could choose to purchase their uniforms items from the armed forces clothing depots or to privately purchase items of higher quality.
