Germany, Imperial. An Imperial German Boxer Rebellion Campaign Medal
(Boxeraufstand Abzeichen). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, wrapped around a trapezoid magnetic metal backer with campaign bars inscribed “TIENTSIN” and “TAKU”, obverse with German national eagle clawing a Chinese dragon, reverse with central monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II topped by a German State Crown, circumscribed by inscription “DEN SIEGREICHEN STREITERN, CHINA, 1900-1901” (“THE VICTORIOUS QUARREL, CHINA, 1900-1901”), unmarked, measuring 33 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
