Germany. A Pair of Belt Buckles
(Gürtelschnallen). A pair of belt buckles, including an Imperial Heer EM/NCO’s buckle, constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”), the reverse with a swivel attachment claw, maker marked “HÜSMERT & CO., SOLINGEN-WALD”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with oxidation evident throughout, in fair condition, and; a German Red Cross (DRK) EM/NCO’s buckle, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised DRK-style German national eagle clutching a Geneva Cross, within an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with swivel attachment claws, maker marked with the logo of Josef Feix & Söhne, Gablonz, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
