Germany, Imperial. A 1909 German Airship Travel Corporation Commemorative Table Medal, by Karl Goetz
(Deutsche Luftschiffahrts-Aktiengesellschaft Erinnerungsmedaille). Constructed of coppered bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and finely-detailed bust of Graf (Count) Ferdinand von Zeppelin, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a depiction of a Zeppelin in mid-flight over hilly terrain, with a rising sign bearing a date of “1909”, above a depiction of a figure etching destination German cities on a large stone tablet, the edge designer marked “K. GOETZ” for the firm of Karl Goetz, measuring 65 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
