A 1914 Iron Cross II Class Award Document to Oberstleutnant Erich Fiedler of the 60th Landwehr Infantry Regiment, on cream-coloured paper. The document was signed in Metz on 20 October 1914, stamped and signed by General Falkenhausen. With a border of fruit. Presenting two folding creases, minor creasing and scuffing. Measuring 214 mm (w) x 321 mm (h), very fine.

A 1914 Iron Cross I Class, (Eisernes Kreuz 1914 I. Klasse). Reinstituted 5 August 1914. (1914-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse is plain and bears a vertical pinback and round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42.34 mm (w) x 42.67 mm (h), weighing 12.6 grams, very fine.

A 1914 Iron Cross I Class Document to Oberstleutnant Erich Fiedler of the 60th Landwehr Infantry Regiment, on cream-coloured paper. The document is entirely hand-written, stamped and signed. Awarded to Fiedler for bravery on 19 July 1919 (after the war), issued 23 August 1919. Presenting two folding creases and minimal creasing at edges. Measuring 211 mm (w) x 331 mm (h), very fine.
