Constructed of silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, marked ‘N” (Neun, Rösner, Sachsen) on the suspension loop, with black and white ribbon, measuring 43.06 mm (w) x 46.53 mm (h), weighing 16.5 grams, very fine.
A 1914 Iron Cross II Class Award Document to Leutnant Hausmann of the 2 Company Reserve Ponier Battalion 32, on cream coloured paper. With ornate detailing at the top, issued 5 March 1917, stamped and signed. Presenting two folding creases, with two holes punched at the left side. Minor tears and scuffing at edges and the reverse is taped in one place. Measuring 207 mm (w) x 170 mm (h), very fine.
