The 25 Year Long Service Cross certificate is named to Major (later General) Konstantin Heinrich Robert Karl Schmidt von Knobelsdorf (1860-1936), a recipient of the Pour le Mérite with Oak Leaves, battalion commander of 1st Hanoverian Infantry Regiment No. 74. Dated to Hanover on 6 June 1903 and signed in black ink by Karl von Stünzner (1839-1914), commanding General of 10th Army Corps and a Knight of the Black Eagle Order.
Measuring 210 mm (w) x 331 mm (h), presenting a folding crease and minimal creasing of the lower edge, remains extremely fine.
