A letter from Reich president Hindenburg to the officer’s club of Infantry Regiment “Generalfeldmarschall von Hindenburg” No. 147 on occasion of the regiment’s 30th anniversary. Dated to April 1, 1927 and signed by Hindenburg in blue ink. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 298 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, two punched holes, light scuffing and creasing of the edges, and some discolouration, remains near very fine. A telegram from Hindenburg to Anderson, thanking him for the memorial of the fallen officers of Infantry Regiment “Generalfeldmarschall von Hindenburg”. Dated to June 26, 1934. Measuring 211 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), presenting a folding crease, two punched holes, and minimal creasing of the edges, remains very fine. An invitation by the government to Major Anderson, leader of O.W. Infantry Regiment “Generalfeldmarschall von Hindenburg”, to attend the funeral of Hindenburg. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 143 mm (h), presenting two punched holes and minimal scuffing of the edges, remains extremely fine. A preliminary certificate for the Iron Cross 1st Class to Hauptmann Erich Anderson of Infantry Regiment 401. Dated to January 27, 1917, and signed in black ink by the Commander of Infantry Division 201, Gustaf von Dickhuth-Harrach. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 165 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, two punched holes, and minimal creasing of the edges, remains better than very fine. An Oldenburg Friedrich August Cross 1st and 2nd Class award certificate to Hauptmann Erich Andersen, Commander of the 1st Battalion of Infantry Regiment 403. Dated to Oldenburg on June 25, 1918. Measuring 204 mm (w) x 163 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, two punched holes, and minimal creasing of the edges, remains better than very fine. A Wound Badge in Gold certificate to Hauptmann Erich Anderson, Commander of the 1st Battalion of Infantry Regiment No. 403. Dated in the field on June 2, 1918. Measuring 168 mm (w) x 108 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, two punched holes, some scuffing and fraying of the edges, and period repair on the reverse, remains better than fine. A Hamburg Hanseatic Cross award certificate to Hauptmann and Battalion Commander in Infantry Regiment No. 403, Erich Anderson. Dated to February 25, 1918. A Hindenburg Cross certificate to retired Major Erich Anderson, dated to Berlin on May 24, 1935. Measuring 210 mm (w) x 120 mm (h), presenting a folding crease and an uneven cutting line at the top, remains extremely fine. An East Prussia Cross certificate from the East Prussian Regiments Society to retired Major Erich Anderson of Infantry Regiment No. 147. Dated to Berlin on August 28, 1933. Measuring 212 mm (w) x 145 mm (h), presenting two folding creases and minimal scuffing of the edges, remains extremely fine. A Hungarian War Commemorative Medal certificate to Major Erich Anderson. Dated to Berlin on January 7, 1937. Measuring 234 mm (w) x 322 mm (h), presenting a folding crease, light creasing of the edges, and minor repairs on the reverse, remains extremely fine. A thank you note from former German emperor Wilhelm II after having been congratulated on occasion of his 70th birthday to the officer’s club of Regiment “Generalfeldmarschall von Hindenburg” No. 147. Dated to Haus Doorn (in Dutch exile) on January 27, 1929. Measuring 219 mm (w) x 285 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, two punched holes, creasing of the edges, and some discolouration in the top left corner, remains near very fine.
