The collection consists of:

An Albert Cross certificate to Bodenmeister (responsible for the railway warehouses and the freight housed in them) Johann Gottlieb August Berthold in Reichenberg (present day Liberec, northern Czech Republic). Dated to Dresden on April 16, 1889 and signed in black ink by King Albert of Saxony. Measuring 221 mm (w) x 352 mm (h), presenting a folding crease and minor fraying of the edges, remains near extremely fine.

The accompanying letter to the Albert Cross decoration, dated to Dresden on April 17, 1889. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 328 mm (h), presenting three folding creases and minor scuffing of the edges, remains near extremely fine.

A long service certificate named to Bodenmeister of the Royal Saxon railway Berthold in Reichenberg. It was dedicated to him by the local group of the society of civil servants of the Royal Saxon railway and is dated to Reichenberg on October 1, 1893, celebrating Berthold’s 35th anniversary as a railway civil servant. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 338 mm (h), presenting a folding crease and light creasing of the edges, remains extremely fine.
