(Abzeichen). A lot of decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 43.00 mm (w) x 46.65 mm (h), weighing 18.7 grams, with oxidation and tarnishing evident, in addition to some bending of the frame, in poor condition; a Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Ernestine House Order Merit Medal, constructed of a silvered alloy, on loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 30.18 mm in diameter, weighing 17.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition, accompanied by a 1914 clasp, constructed of a gilded metal alloy, measuring 33.15 mm (w) x 18.24 mm (h), weighing 3.2 grams, with some loss of finish evident, in very fine condition, and; a bow-tie ribbon featuring the 1914 Iron Cross II Class and Saxe-Ernestine House Order Merit Medal, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, in overall very fine condition.
