What's a max bid?

(Abzeichen). A mixed lot of four First World War patriotic badges, including:

 

1 A first war year Central Powers badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée with its arms joined through the quadrants by a circular laurel wreath, bearing a central raised medallion overlaid by  leftward-facing profiles of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph, with the arms finished in red, yellow, black, and white enamels overlaid by national emblems and silvered dates “1914-15”, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 22 mm (w) x 22 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

 

2. A first war year Central Powers pendant badge, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of enameled German, Austrian, and Ottoman flags, joined by a banner bearing dates “1914-15”, with a loop on the bottom edge accommodating an Iron Cross pendant,the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 28 mm (w) x 20 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

 

3. A first war year Iron Cross badge, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with red enameled arms trimmed with white borders, bearing gilt dates “1914-1915”, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 23 mm (w) x 23 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

 

4. An Ottoman Empire badge, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular ring surrounding a raised Ottoman flag, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 20 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
