Germany, Imperial. A Mixed Lot of Decorations and Accessories
(Abzeichen und Zubehör). A mixed lot of six decorations and accessories, including a Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of a blackened zink alloy, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a raised Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, unmarked, measuring 38.30 mm (w) x 43.24 mm (h), weighing 11.3 grams, in near extremely fine condition; a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from a postwar replacement ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, the suspension loop maker marked “G” for Godet & Sohn, Berlin, measuring 42.87 mm (w) x 46.09 mm (h), weighing 18.2 grams, with extensive oxidation evident to the core, in poor condition; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse bearing an unidentified maker’s logo, measuring 37.64 mm (w) x 43.52 mm (h), weighing 14.8 grams, in extremely fine condition; a German Honour Legion Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.45 mm (w) x 36.29 mm (h), weighing 14.5 grams, in extremely fine condition; a Kaiser Wilhelm I Centenary Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 39.78 mm in diameter, weighing 32.2 grams, in extremely fine condition; also including a Heer EM/NCO’s belt buckle, constructed of partially-silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a central raised royal crown, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with laurel branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with a central dent visible to the crown and some scratching throughout, in very fine condition.
