What's a max bid?

Germany, Imperial. A Mixed Lot of First World War Militärpaße

(Militärpaße). A mixed lot of four First World War Militärpaße, including one issued to Arthur Karl Meyer, constructed of a blue card stock binding with paginated interior pages and loose paper additions, indicating that Meyer was a member of the police and entered military service in 1908, later serving with a number of regiments during the First World War and received the 1914 Iron Cross II Class in 1915, accompanied by other loose documents indicating the Meyer returned to military service during the Second World War and was discharged under Allied occupation on 23 May 1946, with material fatigue and loosening of pages evident, in very fine condition; one named to Emil Karl Johann Heyden, constructed of a blue card stock binding with 20 paginated interior pages, indicating that Heyden entered military service in 1891 and remained in service until 1918, in near extremely fine condition; one named to Rudolf Otto Schmidt, constructed of a green card stock binding with 20 paginated interior pages, indicating that Schmidt entered military service in 1906 and served with a number of units on the Eastern Front of the First World War, in near extremely fine condition, and; one named to Wilhelm Karl Friedrich August Spiegel, constructed of a card stock binding with 20 paginated interior pages, indicating that Spiegel entered military service in 1887, remaining in service through the First World War where he was wounded in action on 6 June 1915 in Russia, later being discharged on 31 December of that year, in near extremely fine condition.
