A mixed lot of seven medals, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on a replacement loop for suspension from a postwar ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the revere with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, the original component of the suspension loop marked “KO” for an unconfirmed maker, measuring 43.18 mm (w) x 47.25 mm (h), weighing 16.9 grams, in very fine condition; a Baden Silver Merit Medal, constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised leftward-facing profile of Grand Duke Friedrich II, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST” (“FOR MERIT”), within a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse designer marked “RM” for Rudolf Mayer, measuring 38.20 mm in diameter, weighing 29.4 grams, in near extremely fine condition; a 1912 General Honour Decoration, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, the obverse ebaring a raised and crowned monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, above a date of “1912”, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of “VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT” (“SERVICE TO THE STATE”), unmarked, measuring 39.55 mm in diameter, weighing 32.1 grams, in extremely fine condition; a Reuss Silver Merit Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 32.28 mm in diameter, weighing 13.1 grams, in extremely fine condition; a War Commemorative Medal of 1870/71, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 29.04 mm in diameter, weighing 14.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in very fine condition; a Baden Cross for Voluntary War Assistance, constructed of gilded zink, on loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 39.02 mm (w) x 43.14 mm (h), weighing 13.5 grams, with total loss of finish evident, in fair condition; a 1915 Aachen war bereaved medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the edge marked “ZAUN”, measuring 41.41 mm (w) x 45.92 mm (h), weighing 43.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
