1. An 1895 pattern Prussian Heer Enlisted buckle, constructed of partially-silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 49 mm (h), demonstrating minor scratching to the base metal, in near extremely fine condition.
2. A Bavarian Heer Enlisted buckle, constructed of grey-painted magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “IN TREUE FEST” (“STEADFAST IN LOYALTY”), the reverse with swivel attachment claws, maker marked “FR. WIMMER, LEIPZIG”, with a date of “1914”, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating moderate loss of finish to the base metal, in very fine condition.
