Germany, Imperial. A Pilot’s Badge
        (Flugzeugführerabzeichen). Constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, around a central depiction of a monoplane flying over a rural landscape, unmarked, measuring 45.81 mm (w) x 71.02 mm (h), weighing 10.2 grams, all of the reverse attachment hardware is missing and minor loss of silver finish is visible to the base metal, in very fine condition.
