Germany, Imperial. A Red Cross Reserve Hospital Pin, 1917
An ovular badge constructed of bronze and multi-coloured enamels, the obverse bears a red enamel cross on a square white enamel background, to the left and right are laurel branches, the top reads “RESERVE-SPITAL No.1” (RESERVE HOSPITAL No.1) and the bottom reads “1917”, encompassed by a green border, the reverse is plain and bears a horizontal pinback with a flat wire catch, measuring 31.01 mm (w) x 25.30 mm (h), very fine.
