Germany, Imperial. A Signed Postcard of Fighter Ace Leutnant Max Immelmann

A rare signed postcard depicting First World War fighter ace Leutnant (later Oberleutnant) Max Immelmann, in uniform and with an array of decorations including the Pour le Mérite clearly visible, the lower half of the image overlaid by Immelmann’s clear handwritten signature in black ink, the lower right corner bearing a mark indicating the the postcard was issued as part of a series of wartime notable figure images, the reverse bearing a handwritten inscription, posted to a recipient in Nuremberg and dated 11 May 1916, measuring 86 mm (w) x 135 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
