A rare spoon from the personal cutlery set of Kaiser Wilhelm II, constructed of silver, the obverse of the handle featuring intricate raised floral and arabesque designs, set around the Kaiser’s engraved monogram, the reverse bearing analogous designs through the handle, bearing a manufacture date of “1895”, a silver content number of “800” flanked by a crown indicating German manufacture, and the maker’s mark of Sy & Wagner of Berlin, measuring 37 mm (w) x 178 mm (l), weighing 62.8 grams, with an age-appropriate patina, in extremely fine condition.
