A preliminary award certificate for the Iron Cross 2nd Class named to Obergefreiter (corporal) Jährig of the same unit as above, born on June 19, 1888 in Schönbach, Saxony, dated “in the field” to February 2, 1917. Measuring 206 mm (w) x 163 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, and light scuffing and fraying of the edges, remains very fine.
