Lot of thirteen Imperial German First War-Era aviation postcards depicting an array of aeroplanes, propaganda, and inspirational quotes; postcards vary in size - approx 135 mm x 86 mm to 146 mm x 92 mm; some unaddressed/without stamp/without writing, others with postage stamps/writing/etc.
Footnote: Aircraft played a vital role during the First War for all sides although most were unarmed until the later years of the war. The aircraft in this collection of aviation postcards are either prototypes, reconnaissance planes, or late-war armed airplanes. Most postcards offer a basic description of the airplanes, others feature propaganda phrases. One distinguishes itself from the rest of the collection by offering a poem dedicated to the mothers of airplane pilots that died in the war effort.
