Germany, Imperial. A First War-Era Artist-Rendered Aviation Postcards
Lot of twelve Imperial German First War-Era artist-rendered aviation postcards depicting an array of airplanes during reconnaissance missions and battles; 89 mm x 138 mm; some unaddressed/without stamp/without writing, others with postage stamps/writing/etc. Footnote: Aircraft played a vital role during the First War for all sides although most were unarmed until the later years of the war. The aircraft in this collection of aviation postcards are either prototypes, reconnaissance planes, or late-war armed airplanes. Most postcards offer a basic description of the airplanes on the backside of the postcard.
