A mixed lot of correspondence and photos to Manfred von Richthofen (the “Red Baron”) from his sister, Ilse, including an Easter postcard, the obverse bearing a colour illustration of sheep playing football, the reverse bearing a handwritten dedication to Manfred for Easter in the field, undated, measuring 138 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), with a large central folding crease, in very fine condition; a small card featuring dried pressed clovers, the former bearing a handwritten dedication to her brother, secreted within a wax paper liner, an interesting memento in near extremely fine condition; a complete “Vexir-Ring” novelty souvenir, featuring an envelope and all original insets, measuring 148 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; two photos of Ilse, including one small studio portrait and one depicting her riding a horse, both unmarked, the former measuring 60 mm (w) x 88 mm (h), the latter measuring 110 mm (w) x 73 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition, and; cut-down postcard photograph of Ilse with Princess Victoria Louise, the reverse bearing a partially-visible handwritten inscription, unmarked, measuring 110 mm (w) x 75 mm (h), in very fine condition.
