Photograph is black and white with a matte finish, obverse illustrating a German flyer in dress uniform in a studio setting, an Iron Cross 1st Class 1914 and a Military Pilot's Badge on his left breast, a ribbon bar for the Iron Cross above the pocket, an Imperial Air Service prop and wings insignia on his left shoulder, signed in black ink at the lower right, reverse with a handwritten inscription in black ink and dated "18." (1918), postcard backer, 88 mm x 138 mm. Accompanied by two Imperial Air Service prop and wings insignia in red felt, 42 mm x 44 mm each. Extremely fine.
