Germany, Imperial. An Officer’s Sword, Circa World War One by Carl Eickhorn
The sword measures at 102.5 cm in total length with a silver blade measuring at 88 cm wide, the hilt is in bronze with a black grip, the bottom of the hilt bears the numbers “14600” and a buffer pad, a Waffenamt mark, and “C.E./G” for Carl Eickhorn”, the scabbard has a singular loop ring and is engraved “2509”, there is an attached portapee on the hilt. There is a piece of tape with a residue on the top of the scabbard and wear to the leather strap on the portapee. The scabbard measures at 90cm (l) and the hilt measures at 16cm (l) x 10.5cm (w), very fine.
