Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, consisting of a raised MG-08 inside of a ribbed oval border, affixed to a magnetic metal backplate with all six attachment prongs intact, set on a field-grey wool patch, unmarked, measuring 85 mm (w) x 58 mm (h) (inclusive of wool backer), accompanied by a signed photo of the wearer, the obverse depicting the subject in uniform with the badge visible on his left arm, the reverse with a handwritten inscription of “ZUR ERINNERUNG AN DEN 2. XI 1923, HEINZ PETERSEN”, addressed to a recipient in Rudolstadt, measuring 88 mm (w) x 139 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
