A Fine First War Württemberg Officer’s Medal Bar
Mounted as worn German style, comprising: Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914, magnetic; Württemberg, A Royal Württemberg Military Merit Order, Knight's Cross, in silver gilt and enamels, 36.0mm(w) x 40.8mm(h)mm, unmarked, of very fine quality manufacture, enamels without chipping, in extremely fine condition; Württemberg, Friedrich Order of Wurttemberg, Knight Cross First Class with Swords, in silver gilt and enamels, 36.5 (x50mm including swords suspension), unmarked, typical WWI period manufacture, of very fine quality, enamels without chipping, in extremely fine condition; Oldenburg, WWI Friedrich August Cross 2nd Class, in blackened iron, with clasp attached to ribbon “Vor Dem Feinde” (clasp represented an award for service on the front); all awards are in extremely fine condition, while ribbons slightly soiled, a moderately worn medal bar. Together with matching 16mm miniatures, worn on a silver gilt chain (A Royal Württemberg Military Merit Order, Knight's Cross, in silver gilt and enamels; Friedrich Order of Wurttemberg is in Gold, swords in silver gilt, and enamels); together with a ribbon bar (as worn on the uniform/tunic); and also button hole ribbon bar (worn on civilian clothing). A very fine WW1 set to a Württemberg Army Officer.
