                A first war German medal grouping, consisting of 1) An Iron Cross 1914 Second Class; white metal frame; with a blackened iron core (magnetic); on a loop for suspension - uniquely, it appears that the original loop broke off and was “repaired” by drilling a hole into the iron core to create a new hole for suspension; measuring 44.01 mm x 43.55 mm; weighing 14.1 grams; 2) A Commemorative “Hindenburg Cross” with swords; in bronzed metal (magnetic); on loop for suspension; maker marked “32 - RV Pforzheim” on the reverse; measuring 42.22 mm x 38.15 mm; weighing 14.8 grams; mounted on a german-style parade mounted medal bar; metal core (magnetic); measuring 74 mm x 37 mm; overall near very fine condition.
