A first war German medal bar grouping with four awards, consisting of 1) An Iron Cross 1914 Second Class, “Eisernes Kreuz 1914 2. Klasse”; white metal cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a white metal ribbed border; on loop for suspension; the obverse with a raised central “W”, with the re-institution date “1914” in raised numbering on the lower arm, and the royal crown on the upper arm; the reverse with a central oak-leaf branch consisting of three oak leaves, with the original institution date “1813” in raised numbers on the lower arm, a raised Prussian crown on the upper arm, with “FW” in equally raised lettering directly below: measuring 42.82 mm x 42.87 mm; weighing 18.3 grams. 2) A Hindenburg Cross with Swords; in bronzed metal (magnetic); maker marked “HKM” on the reverse; on loop for suspension; measuring 37.33 mm x 37.13 mm; weighing 14.3 grams. 3) A Prussian War Aid Merit Cross; in feinzink; on a loop for suspension; measuring 41.34 mm x 41.58 mm; weighing 21.2 grams. 4) A Prussian Long Service Cross; in copper; on a loop for suspension; measuring 36.18 mm x 35.91 mm; weighing 14.6 grams. The ribbons parade mounted onto a flat metal backer (magnetic); in lightly worn, but overall very fine condition.
