An WWI Iron Cross Medal Pair; Marked Godet & Söhn
Prussia: Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (silver with black paint, iron core, magnetic, maker marked "G" (Godet & Söhn) on the ring, 42.7 mm); Hamburg: Hanseaten Cross (silvered bronze with red enamels, 40 mm); and Imperial: Hindenburg Cross for Combatants (bronze gilt on iron, maker marked "N. & H." (Nölle & Hück, Lüdenscheid) on the reverse, 37.2 mm). Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, dark patina on the IC, red enamels intact and gilt wear evident on the Hanseaten Cross, near extremely fine.
