An extensive First War period medal bar featuring six decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross I Class, constructed of iron and silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a raised reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with a initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with raised initials “FW” topped by a crown, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 43.42 mm (w) x 48.22 mm (h), weighing 21.2 grams, in very fine condition; an Honour Cross of the Honour Federation of German First World War Participants with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with “OSTFRONT” (“EASTERN FRONT”) clasp, consisting of a Maltese Cross, with a central Prussian eagle overlaid by an Imperial German tri-colour shield, the three and nine o’clock arms with dates “1914-1918”, the twelve o’clock arm with cross swords, the reverse with a central inscription of “EHRENBUND DEUTSCH WELTKRIEGSTEILNEHMER E.V.”, measuring 42.29 mm (w) x 48.27 mm (h), weighing 14.1 grams, in near extremely fine condition; a German Honour Legion Medal, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with an angel crowning a German soldier, the reverse with a 1914 Iron Cross circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR DAGERLAND”, unmarked, measuring 32.09 mm (w) x 35.72 mm (h), weighing 14.3 grams, in better than very fine condition; a First War 1914 Campaign Medal, constructed of silver, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Kaiser Wilhelm II flanked by his name, the reverse with an inscription of “ERINNERUNG AN DIE SIEGREICHEN KÄMPFEN IM OST UND WEST 1914” (“IN COMMEMORATION OF THE VICTORIOUS STRUGGLES IN THE EAST AND WEST 1914”, measuring 27.89 mm in diameter, weighing 8.4 grams, in better than very fine condition; a 15-Year Army Long Service Cross, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central raised crown, the reverse with central Roman numerals “XV”, unmarked, measuring 35.89 mm (w) x 39.87 mm (h), weighing 14.4 grams, in near extremely fine condition, and; a Prussian War Memorial Cross, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with clasp inscribed “RES. RGT. 257”, consisting of a Lilies Cross, the obverse with a central monogram, the three and nine o’clock arms with an inscription of “TREUE DEM REGIMENT” (“FAITHFUL TO THE REGIMENT”), the six o’clock arm with a Prussian eagle, the twelve o’clock arm with a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet), the reverse with a central Hohenzollern eagle, the three and nine o’clock arms with an inscription of “ALLZEIT BEREIT” (“AT ALL TIMES READY”), the six o’clock arm with three oak leaves, the twelve o’clock arm with crossed swords, measuring 39.55 mm (w) x 43.89 mm (h), weighing 15.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition; all set on a 175 mm-long magnetic metal bar with a horizontal pinback, in very fine condition.
