A First World War combatant medal bar featuring seven decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 43.16 mm (w) x 48.06 mm (h); an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse marked “G3” for an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 37.57 mm (w) x 42.72 mm (h); a Hungarian War Commemorative Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 36.86 mm in diameter; a Bulgarian War Commemorative Medal, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 31.96 mm in diameter; a Somme Cross, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 39.22 mm (w) x 42.54 mm (h); a Regimental Loyalty Commemorative Cross, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon and clasp, unmarked, measuring 39.54 mm (w) x 43.90 mm (h), and; a Social Welfare Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Geneva Cross with pebbled arms overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “MEDAILLE FÜR DEUTSCHE VOLKSPFLEGE” (“MEDAL FOR CARE OF THE GERMAN PEOPLE”), unmarked, measuring 38.05 mm in diameter; all suspended from a 165 mm-long zink bar with a horizontal pinback and black wool reverse liner, the medals displaying only slight loss of finish and with some chipping visible to the enamel of the Somme Cross, with moderate soiling and fatigue visible to the ribbons, in overall near extremely fine condition.
