A medal bar with three medals, awards, and decorations, consisting of 1) A Commemorative Medal for the War 1870-1871; the obverse depicting a cross pattee, inscribed 1870-1871 within a laurel wreath, with sun rays coming from the center of the cross; the reverse inscribed with the crowned royal monogram of King Wilhelm, circumscribed “Gott war mit uns. Ihm sei die Ehre” (God was with us - the honour is his); on a loop for suspension; measuring 29.00 mm in diameter; weighing 15.1 grams. 2) An 1897 Prussian Kaiser Wilhelm Centennial Medal; a gilt bronze medal; the obverse with a leftward facing bust of Kaiser Wilhelm, inscribed “Wilhelm der Grosse Deutscher Kaiser, Koenig von Preussen” (German - Wilhelm the Great German Kaiser, King of Prussia); the reverse inscribed “Zum andenken an den hundertsten Geburtstag des Grossen Kaisers Wilhelm I, 1797 - 22 Maerz 1897 (German - In remembrance of the one hundredth birthday of Wilhelm I); measuring 40.00 mm in diameter; weighing 33.8 grams. 3) A Military Honour Medal, Second Class, a silver medal; the obverse depicting the crowned royal monogram of King Friedrich III; the reverse inscribed “Verdienst um den Staat” (German - Merit for the State) within a laurel wreath tied together at the base via a ribbon; on a loop for suspension; measuring 39.28 mm in diameter; weighing 23.4 grams; all suspended from a medal bar constructed of period original ribbons - The 1870-1871 Commemorative medal with an Orleans and Paris campaign clasp; with a brass core and horizontal pinback; measuring 94 mm (w) x 39 mm (h); in overall very fine condition.
