(Gold für Eisen Patriotischer Ring). A 1914 gold for iron patriotic donation ring, constructed of a magnetic iron core bearing a raised exterior inscription of “GOLD GAB ICH FÜR EISEN” (“I GAVE GOLD FOR IRON”), with the interior partially lined with a copper-gold alloy, unmarked, measuring 22.42 mm in total diameter, weighing 3.8 grams, a strip of the copper-gold alloy liner has been cut away, in overall very fine condition.
