What's a max bid?

Iron Cross 2nd Class & 48th Division Document - Iron Cross Second Class 1914, iron core, magnetic, unmarked, VF. Imperial crown at the top, a shield with a downward-pointing sword below, flanked by the dates "1914" and "1915", inscribed "Im Namen Sr. Majestät Des Kaisers und Königs" (On behalf of His Majesty The Emperor and King), "ist durch den Kommander der 48. Reserve- Division des Eiserne Kreuz 2 Klasse" (is defined by the Commander of the 48th Reserve Division of the Iron Cross 2nd class), named to "Ludwig 4/224", dated "April 30, 1916", awarded at Divisional Staff-Quarters on the May 4, 1916, signed by the Lieutenant General and Division Commander, stamped with the 48th Reserve insignia, with an ornate leafed border, printer company stamped in the lower left corner, printed in black and red ink on a cream-coloured thick paper stock, with a ledger grid printed on the reverse, 222 mm x 285 mm, crease marks from having been folded in quarters, very fine.
