What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A gilded bronze patriotic badge, the obverse centre presenting two perched eagles surrounded by a laurel border inscribed with “1914” at the top and “Treue um Treue” (Loyalty to Loyalty) at the bottom, the reverse bears a horizontal pinback, measuring 54.84 mm (w) x 40.26 mm (l); (Deutsches Reich Erinnerungsmedaille). A German Reich Commemorative Medal, c. 1913, a circular bronze? Medal, the obverse presents a cross paty with a crowned “FW” cipher on the 12 o’clock arm, “1813” on the 6 o’clock arm and three oak leaves at the centre of the cross, the reverse has a branch of oak leaves on the left side and “18 OKTOBER 1813-1913” to the right, marked “M & W S. T.” on reverse bottom, with suspension ring on a red, white and black striped ribbon; A German Patriotic Iron Cross Commemorative Badge, c. 1915, a bronze cross paty with black enamel, a crowned “W” cipher on the 12 o’clock arm, “1914/15” on the 6 o’clock arm and “Gott mit Uns” (God with Us) inscribed in the middle, the reverse bears a horizontal pinback and “GESGESCH” on the 6 o’clock arm.
